Empowering Lives Through Support and Care
Meet Our Team

Executive Director
Breanna Brooks
Breanna Brooks has spent nearly a decade in special education, working with students who have some of the most complex behavioral needs. She has seen firsthand how hard they fight to gain control over their emotions, build meaningful skills, and push past the challenges that stand in their way. But time and time again, she watched these same students age out of the system, only to be sent home because no program could support them. Their progress would stall—or worse, they would regress—simply because the right resources didn’t exist.
Breanna refused to accept that as the only outcome. She founded Inclusive Horizons Inc. to change the narrative, creating a space where individuals of all abilities can belong, grow, and thrive. She believes that success looks different for everyone, and by tailoring programming to each person’s unique strengths, interests, and goals, real progress can happen.
Her mission is simple but deeply personal: No one should be left behind. Every individual deserves the chance to lead a meaningful life, and she is committed to making that a reality.

Program Coordinator
Danielle Porteur Johnson
Danielle Porteur Johnson has dedicated over 20 years to special education, beginning as a paraprofessional in the Orthopedic Impairment (OI) program before transitioning into behavioral support. With extensive experience working alongside individuals with intensive behavioral needs, she understands the profound impact of helping them regulate emotions and develop meaningful life skills.
Danielle has also witnessed firsthand the critical gap in services for these individuals once they graduate and age out of transition programs. Too often, they are left without the support they need simply because of the complexity of their needs.
As Program Coordinator at Inclusive Horizons Inc., Danielle is committed to changing that. She is proud to support Breanna’s mission, ensuring that every individual has access to the opportunities, resources, and community they deserve to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Board of Directors, President
Casandra Guerrero, M.A., M.S., CCC-SLP
With nearly two decades in education and extensive experience in speech-language pathology (SLP) and special education, Casandra Guerrero has spent her career supporting individuals with complex communication needs, specializing in autism, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and inclusive programming. Her expertise spans assessment, intervention, and training, equipping educators, families, and professionals with the tools to foster meaningful connections and independence.
Having served San Benito County for over a decade, Casandra has developed a deep understanding of the local community’s needs, the importance of lifelong access to quality services, and the critical gap in support after individuals exit the extensive support networks of the public education system. As an SLP, she believes that communication is a basic human right that does not end when a student leaves school and knows that losing access to educational services can be devastating for individuals and families who relied on that support. Her work with national and state organizations, as well as local law enforcement, has helped shape best practices in special education, autism support, and communication accessibility. She is excited to bring her experience to the board of Inclusive Horizons, ensuring that individuals with intensive support needs continue to have local access to comprehensive care and programs beyond the public education system
As a board member of Inclusive Horizons, she is committed to ensuring that community members with disabilities have access to the support they need to foster independence, inclusion, and meaningful engagement—empowering them to live with dignity and purpose.

Board of Directors, Secretary
Brent Bonura
Brent Bonura has a lifetime of experience understanding the needs of individuals with special
needs. Growing up with a younger brother who is autistic has given Brent a unique perspective
on the requirements of those in our community and the current lack of resources for individuals
with critical needs. Brent also has five years of experience working as a special education
teacher and paraprofessional in the public school system. His time in these professional roles
has enhanced his understanding of the various needs our community and families face and the
resources they lack. Brent has witnessed firsthand how many students with moderate to severe
disabilities grow and develop essential skills during their time in school, only to become isolated
and regress in their abilities and goals after leaving the school system. This significant gap has impacted many families within San Benito County.
Brent's goal with Inclusive Horizons is to help create a program and resource for families who
have experienced this gap and the shortage of resources in San Benito County. Brent shares
the vision of our founder, Breanna Brooks, to establish a space for individuals of all abilities to
grow and thrive. The team at Inclusive Horizons is committed to making these goals a reality and uplifting the many individuals and families in our community.

Board of Directors, Treasurer
Tina Armstrong
Tina Armstrong is a dedicated advocate, mother, and resource navigator driven by her lived experience as the parent of Natalia, a 22-year-old on the autism spectrum with complex behavioral needs.
Twelve years ago, during a routine Individual Program Plan (IPP) meeting, Tina discovered — for the first time — that her daughter was eligible for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS). Natalia had already been a client of the regional center for nine years. That moment became a turning point in Tina’s life.
Motivated by the desire to ensure other families wouldn't face the same lack of information, Tina returned to school, earning degrees in both Human Services and Education. Her mission: to help underserved parents feel informed, empowered, and equipped.
In 2020, when Natalia began attending San Benito High School, she met Bre Brooks and her exceptional team. The collaboration and care shown by Bre and her staff had a transformative impact on Natalia’s life — and on Tina’s.
Today, Tina proudly serves as Treasurer of the Board at Inclusive Horizons and leads Client Resource Support, helping families navigate complex systems and access critical services and funding. Her compassion and knowledge are at the heart of our mission: creating a safe, respectful, and empowering space for every individual with unique support needs.
